Windows Media Player stops playing when I switch users

This may be by design but is there a way to change it so that the music will keep playing?

Yes it's by design, any windows application gets closed when you switch users.

I've heard of software that allows you to run any other piece of software as a Windows service. Windows services don't get closed when you switch users but they do usually run hidden in the background so this may not work, but I think it's your only option!

Well I found that Winamp will play continuously while switching. This will suffice...WMP isn't that great.
