show loading in progress

Hi.... can someone guide me on to include in the:-

- when the code is processing/loading, how cam i include in the animation picture to show that the system is loading to get the data from database. Actually what i need is similar when i click on the edit button below there is a animation picture loading indicator.... appreciate that someone can guide me.

Put an image on the page:

<img src="foo.gif" id="yourImage" style="display:none" />

That show it with the click

document.getElementById("yourImage").style.display="block";

set it back to none when you want to hide it.
