Hi, I had a problem a while ago which i fixed where by using MoverFactory to recode avi's into dvds would always crash. I fixed this problem by updating ym codecs, but now my computer is very slow, and freezes whenever i use nero or Movie Factory to make dvds.

It says i have 189MB free Memory when running, and my Drive temperatures are both 38C. I have checked for viruses and spyware. I have removed all extra programs fromstartup using msconfig, and turned off extra services using that too.

Oh, I use the all in 1 codec pack, and i have drwatson disabled.

My Spec:
Windows XP Home, SP2
CPU 1.70GHZ
480MB of RAM

I tried to run Hijackthis but got an error
"An unexpected error has occured at procedure: modregistry_inigetstring(sfile=system.ini, ssection=boot, svalue=shell)
error#5 invalid procedure call or argument

then again for ssection=windows,

then again for modmain_checkother1item()

Here is the most of the hijackthis:

not often, but i did a big clear out, through the cache, registry, and all that rubbish so it should be running good, its speeded up now since i removed some services from the running services and start up, i also downloaded cpu limiter for programs and now i doesn't freeze. It only seems to freeze when one program is using about 98%> of the cpu, so i think it might be a heat problem even though my drives are cold.
