Hi
Please help me how to practice UNIX in windows platform.
For your information I have KNOPPIX but a bit confused how to run that.

AFAIK, there is nothing to do with KNOPIX in Windows.
Its another OS, capable to boot from the CD itself(No HD required.)
To boot your CD, change your first boot device to CDROM, through you Bios setup, and then insert your CD and reboot the system.

download the free vmware player and server (http://www.vmware.com) and load *nix into a virtual machine, you will need to install vmware and then you can load as many versions of *nix as you wish inside that.

If you mostly just want to do the command line stuff then I would install cygwin.
If not then I would download vmware server. It is great for testing linux distros out. That is how I did it.
