what are the posibilities of hidden sounds from computer

dear advisers,
help me from this problem ,that I format my system due to the automatic shutdown problem, directx also installed to the system, yet sound cannot be display
what are the causes for this

Try installing your drivers.

They usually come with your Motherboard (CD) or get them from the internet, common brands are Realtek (www.realtek.com.tw) , Creative (www.creative.com) and so on..

read the manual from your motherboard to determine what Sound-chip you have. From there on it's looking for the correct driver(s) and your good to go ;)
