When I change my text on my html page it does not read my CSS
I have my work on notepad++ but I cant connect my index.html to read my style.css on my browser which I have saved as index.html to my desktop.
I have my link as..
<link href="abc_style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Can you post a link to your page? Also do not put style tags in the external stylesheet.

Thanks for your reply, yes I am able to send a link & no I dont have any style tags. I can change my wording but I cant see my background boxes.
I had them all at school but when I bought them home I lost my CSS.

sorry Aerospace I may be mis-interpeting what you mean by posting a link, I was going by that as, does my wording change in my browser if I amend the text in html.

What I mean was post a url to your page. You have given us very little information to work with.

Sorry Im not to good at explaining,
On my notepad++ I have 2 pages
one is my index.html the other is style.css
Now when I open this on browser, all showing.
But when I ammend the text on my html page it is not changing on my browser.
Yet if I change the color of a box in css, the color changes.

Are you sure you are editing the correct page? When you open the page in the browser do a view source and compare it with the file you are changing. See if they match.

Just for info; I've found HTML-Kit (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/) by Chami (http://www.chami.com) a GREAT tool. It rivials Dreamweaver - and it's free! Chami.com (http://www.chami.com/)
HTML-Kit also has a plugin (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/plugins/) feature, where one can load seperate modules and extensions (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/plugins/) for different tools within the application. Seriously, it's a program worth, at least, trying.

Just talking about it makes me want to go back to using it!
