Got a Mac in work for designing with spec:

G4
500MHz
896MB RAM

When developing flash animations we use this machine but when I deploy the .swf file and test on my PC the animations are running much faster causing out of sync audio and video even though it is perfect on the Mac.

Would this be to do with the specs on the Mac and if so can anyone recommend what we need to upgrade.

Thanks

Have you tried changing the frame rate of the flash file?

Would that make a difference if the .swf is being viewed on the Mac and looks fine but the PC version of the same .swf file is running faster?

Yeah... a Mac with those specs is going to run much slower than the actual framerate of the movie, in most cases. The PC probably has a much beefier processor and is able to maintain the correct framerate.

I think if you have one long audio track, you can set the audio type to 'streaming' and the movie should maintain sync (even skipping frames to keep up with slower playback).
