I have a client who makes dance and techno music. I am considering building him a website that allows him to make his music available for download by purchase. I also want him to be able to manage the music content without messing around with the host server file manager.

Any ideas or links?

cube cart or zen cart would be good choices for shopping carts. You may have to build him an upload manager. I don't think zen cart has an upload feature. Cube Cart I think does though.
