Swapping background images in tables

Hi there,

I'm trying to find a client side javascript that allows me to click on a link and have a corresponding image becoming a tiling background image in a <td> tag. The images would need to be preset in a javascript function I would imagine.

I wanted to use an image swap function because it doesn't reload the page and it will do exactly what I want, however I was having trouble giving the <td> tag a name in order to call the function and the string of code I was using didn't work right.

If you have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
