Iv just signed up to this forum as I have seen the effort people put in to help eachother and hopefully one day I can do the same so I'd like to start off by saying hi to everyone. At this present time I have a problem. I have already looked through previous threads and so on but have not found a solution as I am not very experienced.

Above is my myspace that is viewed perfectly in IE7 but in Mozilla Firefox the pics and links are everywhere and I dont know why or how.

I am not in this class on programming, but I notice that you do not appear to have doctype as the first line of your code.

something like this.

The browser won't know how to treat your code otherwise,

So would I put that into the style tags (first line) or before the style tags?

The doctype goes at the very top of your HTML page (above the CSS, it should be the first thing on your page), not the CSS and is needed in order to render your page in standards compliance mode, which will make things very much easier for you in terms of browser compliancy.

I put the program through my validator. It is simply riddled with errors.
I am not sufficiently competent to put them right for you. Some of them are small;
e.g. color"aaddbb" should be color "#aaddbb" etc.

Others are more profound.

There is a free validator available on the W3 site.

As far as I know, the style section should be in the Head section.
Unless you have a seperate style sheet,

Here, you will find a page which lets you just enter your URL.
It does have other options which you can select on the page.

As I have my own validator, I don't use this one now.
But it is very good.

If you have trouble using it, post another thread on this site asking for help.

I hate MySpace code so much it's going to take a few more drinks before I dive in on this, but I should remind everyone that this is a MySpace profile. Therefore, there's no way to add a DOCTYPE or validate the code.

Having valid code is a step to use when creating your own HTML pages. T-Boz isn't creating any HTML — he's adding inline CSS to a MySpace profile to customize the profile.

@T-Boz: The article where a lot of the MySpace hacks were taken from is here: http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2006/04/hacking-myspace-layouts, hopefully reading that will help a bit.

It might be easier if you provide a screenshot of what you're going after (in case some users don't use IE 7) and keep in mind that hacking MySpace layouts is a totally different ball game than web design so a lot of users here tend to avoid it.
