Reset individual form objects

Hey everyone,

I am trying to reset individual objects of my contact form with a javascript command. The form contains both input objects as well as select objects. Ideally there would be a text link/button next to each field that would return only the corresponding field's value back to default.

Any help is much appreciated.

In other words I want a [X] next to each field that when clicked resets only that specific field, not the whole form. I use both inputs and selects.
