Ok I am trying to build a HTML Generator, but I am not sure if it is a script or software (preferably) that I need. What I am looking for it to generate is a table with images inside of it.

It will be for my SOCOM clans to use on our forum board. It will allow us to build our favorite/Fantasy armory setup and then display it in our signaters.

For example :

Please select 1 for each option.

Primary Weapon
[] M14 [] M16A2 [] F90 [] 552

Secondary Weapon
[] M18 [] DE.50 [] F57 [] Mark23

Primary Attachment
[] Scope [] Laser [] Suppressor [] Bi-Pod

Secondary Attachment
[] Scope [] Laser [] Suppressor [] Extended Clips

Now they would click the button marked "generate"

And it would then give them a HTML code that would put a table with the proper images in place.

I am willing to pay for someone to build this for me they would however have to put a a user friendly interface on it so that I could add/remove option at any given time at the click of a button or teach me the script so that I may do so.

P.S. I do all ready have the images.

I am pretty familiar with HTML and JavaScript so ether would do. As for price I am not sure what its worth as I have never hired a coder before so decide how much you would like and I will tell you if I can afford it. I would however be willing to pay more if you could put a inface on it that would allow me to just build it on my pc then upload it.

Unfortunately what you require isn’t possible with HTML and/or JavaScript alone. If I understand correctly you need a server side script like ASP, PHP, JSP, ColdFusion or similar in combination with a database to generate the desired HTML and to store the results somewhere. the HTML you see on the website is just the final output that has gone through a lot of processes on the server before.

I’m not a decent back-end programmer but I guess it would start from something like $500 upwards… You should directly negotiate with the people that are interested to get an idea of the price, I can only guess.

If it really is exactly as simple as you've decribed, it could be done in javascript. Ofcourse it would be easier/more managable if you had a database and serverside script - so you could add new items to each category without having to understand the code.

If you want to go the quick/cheap route then the javascript solution would be best for you (in the short term at least)

If you have database and server-side scripting capabilities with your hosting the serverside +db solution would be better long term, if you intend to add new images or categories etc.
