Disabling an external advertisement on my website

Hi,

Is there a way/script which I could possibly use to disable an external advertisement from my web host?

Below is the code for the advert:
<script language='javascript' src='https://xxx/hosting_ads/jp01.js'></script>

I would like to force the advert out or block it from appearing altogether. Is that possible at all? Hope anyone could help me out here.

Simply delete that statement from the page source.

If you don't have access to that part of the source because you are using "free" hosting then the first step is to upgrade to paid hosting and then delete the ad. You can't delete the ad while it is paying for the hosting.

It would be helpful to have a bit more information in order to assist. For instance, a link to the site would be a great place to start. I've been working on removing the ads from a free geocities site myself just for the fun of it. I've gotten it to work in IE but not FF yet (here (http://www.geocities.com/skyboy_1279/index.htm)).
