I want to have a rich text editor for my board. I already have one in javaScript, but in my second ASP page, it is not retrieving the value.

JavaScript Code :

//Usage: writeRichText(fieldname, html, width, height, buttons, readOnly)
writeRichText('message', 'here's the "<em>preloaded</em> <b>content</b>"', 400, 200, true, false);

It is written through javaScript. The Request.Form("message") is not working and is only picking up the preloaded content!!!

Can anyone either give me a new one, without the code showing in the textarea (eg:when you press bold, the message has <b>Text</b> added on), or fix the problem.

Difficult to guess why it is not working.

How about trying FCKEditor. It is one of the best editors I have worked with in the past... http://www.fckeditor.net/

I prefer the one found here

Its lightweight and should do what you need. It degrades gracefully if for some reason JS isn't enabled.
