hmmm... before I review your site, I'd like to ask a question:

I notice your disclaimer before you enter the site. It implies that your site contains illegal content... however, I had a quick look around and didn't find anything damning... some borderline music vids etc. however I didn;t dowload them so I not sure if anything there is dodgy or not...

...which brings me to the question, which is basically, "is there anything illegal on your site?" If so, I suggest you remove the link, but if not, please just say so, so that other people will not draw mistaken conclusions (because your site does give the impression of being dodgy, what with that disclaimer and all!)

That's what I am talking about.

And, your disclaimer is almost identical to that which many illegal sites use... and suffers from the same incorrectness.

The basic disclaimer such as you are using was made up by certain groups a few years ago, seemingly to make themselves feel more secure against litigation.

You can rest assured that there is nothing in that disclaimer which stops any company taking legal action against you - whether you steal their software or infringe their copyright.

I am not trying to suggest that you are doing anything illegal; it just concerns me to see that disclaimer on your site because of it's associations, hence I asked for you to confirm the site contents. I am also telling you this info for your own benefit, because you may not know that your disclaimer is invalid.

Trust me on this - I have had a lot of experience with internet security etc. in my line of work, and also in legal issues (international laws not just of one country).

Anyway, it seems we got that cleared up, so about the site:

Not all the images would load for me even though I refeshed several times (using Mozilla 1.2.1). I didn;t have chance to check the site in IE. I found that the overall design was a little crowded for my liking, yet functional, and it was clear what was what. I could navigate with no problems.

I haven't got the time to properly squint at everything but I can't see anything majorly wrong with it :)

Oh and also, just before anyone picks on what I have said, it is very unlikely that the copyright holders would try and sue you, because you are not trying to use their material for your own commercial advantage, or for their disadvantage. Also you are obviously a fan, and companies like fans. So I don't see that you are breaking any laws and I don't see why you would get into trouble, however if in doubt ask their permission. (Of course, they could always request that you take the material down, and then things would get more interesting if you didn;t obey).

That's just to clarify what I said earlier, but the baseline is that your disclaimer wouldn't help at all.

hmmm, maybe it's not that the site is actually crowded... I was just looking at it wondering why it makes me feel like that depsite having a good amount of whitespace, and I think it may be the font.

Personally, I hate Times New Roman. :p

I think it may look cleaner/tidier/less cramped with a sans serif font such as Verdana, Tahoma, etc.

Just an idea :)

ok I have spent a few more mins looking around.

Can you tellme why you need to have a 'warez'-style voting system to access a download area? It smells fishy to me... Personally if I see things like that I leave the site and don;t return.

5 posts krycek, and four of them consecutives! incrementing your post count? ;)

Seems that the site still doesn't has illegal content, but Xphp plans to offer full movies, episodes, Game Rom's, etc.

Maybe that's the reason because, as krycek said, it still seems a bit empty

Hey, you know that big disclaimer thing that everyone is debating.
Well not only does it mean jack it won't serve any purpose but evidence if someone were going to sue you (don't know why).

You can't filter people. Anti-piracy people and government agents be swayed by your little dislcaimer.

Also umm..well say an Australian company wanted to sue you, they could you would be tried according to our laws which are very harsh (not capital punishment, just strict) there are almost no loop holes, some guy was just awarded millions of dollars because he was slandered on some website in the US.

The reason is, there are certain things that are unsuitable/banned in these forums.

Your site gives the very strong impression that it falls into that category.

And anyway, I did give you feedback about your site!
