View Full Version : quick bobo resolution question

I am doing a website for a local community organization and they have provided me with a logo that is 1609x309. When I shrink it down to a usable size it becomes somewhat grany / the text is shaky. I have tried this via the width and height settings, and via image programs, and they both have the same result.

Do i need to get the organization to do something to their copy or is there a way for me to do this myself?

Also, is a width of 800 a suitable one for a web banner that I wish to comprize about 80% of the screen (width wise), or should I go with 700?

I use Paint.NET as my image and drawing program. It has a function to resize images in percent, it works pretty decent. :) The program is free.

Your page needs to be able to display reasonably within a 760 width for when people print it out.
