these topics become tiresome. im sure everyone would agree.
no one would make a game for anyone for free. And no one would want a "cut of the profits" there is never a guarantee that there will be "profits" and even when there is it is usually pennies. so unless your willing to pay then i seriously doubt anyone would be interested.

Why don’t you let him make his own experience? It may be tiresome but it’s perfectly fine to ask for a partner in the project collaboration and partnership forum. And after all, if you’re not interested then don’t reply.

[…] i seriously doubt anyone would be interested.

You don’t know if you don’t ask.

yes, but as he can't do any of the coding for the game what exactly will he be doing.

perhaps a better way of going about it is if he talked about his skills then asked for a coder.

as of now, why wouldnt the coder just make the game there self? what will you offer? how are you going to get people to play the game? ect...

Wouldn't that be stealing? I think "ideas" are just as important as the code. If the coder made the game himself, after taking the idea..well..sounds like theft. I thought "partners" meant different aspects coming together to achieve a goal. I know of several very successful webgames owned by a person without any web based programming/coding knowledge, who with the help of a PARTNER both attained reasonable profit for their time. She came up with the idea, the coder implemented it, they share the profits. Isn't that a "partnership"?

if anyone is steeling it is Kezie,

There are thousands of text based mafia games out there in witch his idea is based on. Thats why I said he should talk about what he will bring, how he plans to make his game different!

Ahh, ok I understand what you are saying now. I don't really play those kind of games so did not know. I would imagine he would need something different to attract any interest ifthere arealready others like it out there. I myself have looked everywhere , there are alot of "game makers/engines", but I can't find any for a simple text basedbreeding game. I guess those that do exist were written individually by a coder, as there doesn't seem to be a premade engine for those kind of games yet. I think he should probably try one of the adventure maker engines, they seem premade for exactly what he requires.

I agree whole heartedly with srule.

The idea of a partnership is that the parties involved bring their own skills "to the table". When searching for a partner in this it is ideal to list your own skills and what you are bringing to the table.

These topics bug the heck out of me, and they will never in a million years get something productive done. Having said that, its good for people to learn that they can't get stuff for free. Its fine to put the offer out there, even if there have been 27 identical offers in the same week. Just try to ignore these topics if you don't like them. We can't stop people from asking something, even if its not going to happen.

only way this would ever work is if one person concentrated on the coding and the other person concentrated on advertising , marketing , maybe the graphics etc.
