Just noticed that sage45 is a moderator with only 31 posts. What's up with that? ;)

It is possible Sage45 focuses on management of his forum.

to be an addict you need 300 post, to be a nut, you need 1000, it was all reviewed in the post in the forum called new ranks or something. i just became a addict.

Well, I s'pose I could artificially inflate my post count, but I prefer "quality" posts! ;)

btw- I think I was around a few hundred posts on WA, so I'm Really around 500 give or take a few. :D

Personally, I'm focused on preventing improver behavior (posting) in HTML&CSS forum, thus low count on posts.

However this seems to be enough on controlling HTML&CSS section because there are numerous experts answering with very little delay. Also, when someone really breaks rules, either George or other of our Super Mods arrives immediately and starts firing furiously with his/her Mod Gun ;)

Lol, I don't think the amount of post a Mod has really has to matter, does it?

I'm not a Mod, and a have a good amount of posts. Not to mention, I lost 16,000 posts when we switched to the new forum!

Nobody had 16,000 posts from WA. Spookster and Justame lead the way with almost 10,000, with a few others (like me) hanging around 7,000.

I joined the forums when they were still hosted on wsabstract.com. They were shut down for a while due to bandwith, and reopened on the freewarejava.com domain. Then WSAbstract was renamed to JavascriptKit, and the forums were switched from UBB to vBulletin, under the new name CodingForums.

The CodingForums incarnation is pretty young, but there are years behind this actual community.

I came in during the javascriptkit.com days, and I joined this forum as soon as it opened. Thought, I do stay away from the forums everyonce and awhile, becuase I stop programming for a bit or something.

I joined about 2 1/2 years ago, and most of the regulars I remember from WA are still hanging around ...

But I haven't seen Dave Clarke since we moved ... anyone still in touch with him?
