Elance rival...

Just thinking and decided to ask here to see what you people think.

Q: For those of you who know of Elance (www.elance.com) I was just thinking that maybe I could rival it. How would you rate this idea? I would charge significantly less for people to sign up.

Just a thought.

[edit] Does anyone know if there is anything else like Elance? If so I don't think I would bother thinking about it anymore.

Regarding whether there are currently other similar services to Elance, actually there are a few. I can't remember most of them now, though one of them is ITMoonlighter.com.

Good luck with your project if you decide to go ahead- it is a fairly competitive and saturated market already, however.

That's the main problem. If I advertise right and make the site rock solid scripting wise I could make it but if it doesn't work out I would be out of pocket.

Still I think I will make one for fun after I finish my mini forum. Maybe I'll put it on the web and see how I go.
