Progress bars

I want to create a percentage bar that displays a visual representation of a percentage that is generated by a perl script of mine.

Say a number of 11 for the percentage is created how would I change the size of an image to get bigger proportionally..?

If you need any more information, just ask, but i think that should be enough.
