I have a button next to a textarea when they click that button it launchs another window. Now I need another button that will take a value (it will be an html code) close that window, and put that value in the textarea.

Sort of like how when you click the link button in this wysiwyg editor it pops up a window that asks for some stuff and then inserts it here.

Any help is much appreciated,
thanks,
Jordan

<textarea id="textarea"></textarea>
<button onclick="document.getElementById('textarea').value += prompt('Please enter some HTML')">Add HTML</button>

Is that the sort of thing you want, or did you want it to be more complex?

thank you very much for the quick response!

that is close to what I need but the problem is what pops up is going to be a form and when the form is submitted they are brought to page 2 (same popup) and the form is processed in then the output is put into the textarea
