Drop-down menu or left-side-navigation menu box?

As the title says, what do you prefer most?

I don't think these need be mutually exclusive - the best sites typically use some combination of both drop downs and static lists.

Also where's your "right side navigation" option?

I didn't add that as I want either a left hand side navigation box or some drop-down menus.
