View Full Version : Please Help Me Setup This Software On My Site!! Its Been A Major Struggle

Hi guys,

I am trying to set up a flashchat site for my friends and I. I have the Flashchat software that I want installed on my main page, and already have in place the website host (GoDaddy) and the domain, but I do not know a thing about how to get it to work together in unison.

I have been struggling all day with the annoying support people from GoDaddy with little reward and was wondering if maybe someone here who knows how to setup, or even just get me in the right direction, could take a look at it and possibly put it together for me? If that is too much, I am lost at how to connect to the FTP currently.

Please? I really am banging my head and biting my nails b/c this is just super frustrating when there are people that are like 2 years younger than me that can do it in a snitch.

You would probably get better help if you gave more details. You've said you have some flashchat app but you haven't said WHAT app it is or WHERE you go it from or much less what you are having trouble with. As to connecting with FTP. Its pretty straight forward. You should have been given a username, password, and ftp host. I suggest you read the guides on godaddy. http://help.godaddy.com/article.php?app%5Fhdr=&ci=9075&article%5Fid=1668

I think in the future you need to do more research into this type of thing as it seems like you just dove in head first really not knowing what you were doing.

ya, i switched servers last night. i uploaded the software last night i just don't know how to get everything set up. it is flashchat: http://www.tufat.com/s_flash_chat_chatroom.htm

i just want that installed on the main page and am willing to pay through paypal. i just need someone to set it up so that it is on the front page of my site.

i just am a blonde when it comes to this stuff (no pun intended). i have tried before, but no luck.
