vb6 + application framework

Hi,

I am wanting to build an application framework in VB6. What I want exactly is to make the base line application, and to provide the ability for the client to write their own small applications in it, to be run from that very same vb6 application that I wrote. What I would like to know is does anyone know of anything like this out there already that I could investigate or does anyone have any sites they can direct me to which would show me how to start this off, or even if it is possible.

Its not VB but Portals and Portlets in Java do exactly what you are talking about. For that you can look at Jetspeed, Liferay, Jboss etc... They are all open source as far as I know, and could give you design ideas.

I need it to be in Visual Basic 6 or 2005 as it's not meant to be the complete application but just offers the ability to create macro's in the application to be executed on specific events.
