View Full Version : Unwanted repeating characters in IE

Some of the text from the bottom div repeats itself (only when viewed in ie) i have no idea what the hell is wrong w/ it... i've never seen it happen before......
If anyone knows the reason please help me........ thank you

Remove this

<?php echo '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>'; ?>
Its causing IE6 to go into quirks mode causing it to render your document incorrectly.

oh i got it... changed a few numbers arround... still not sure y it was not working to start with... thank you for trying though....... :):thumbsup:

A friend and I were just talking about this bug…it's related to the comments. Remove your HTML comments and the repeating text should go away.

I'm not sure how exactly how many comments or where the comments are affects IE, but they do so I just go the easy route and remove them all, and leave any necessary commenting for others in the PHP.

As Richard said, it's related to multiple comments between the first and last of a series of floated elements. Below is a good link exposing the bug:
