I just got a new professional layout made for my site, Beautiful and Talented Sarah (http://www.roachsrealm.com/sarahwaynecallies). I want to make it professional and complete as possible. Everything is all set except my gallery. I'm awaiting a coppermine layout, so please just by pass the gallery section. I would love some ideas on how I can improve the site so I can make it one of the elites on the web.

Thank you very much for your time. It is greatly appreciated!

Casey

Your site designer has the wrong photo reference in
their portfolio (it should be no. 018):
http://www.elements-inc.net/thumbs/big/018.jpg

That seems to be the theme (their style), but it looks nice.

I'm one of those older guys with poor eyesight, so the tiny
font is hard to read. Making the text larger on my browser
seems to work ... that's sometimes a problem on some sites.
CSS seems to adjust gracefully.

A nice looking site for focusing on an actress.

Layout's nice for the most part. I don't really like seeing the same 2 faces next to every update though lol. I think you should change it to something else.

I think you should add more horizontal padding on each content box (includes the side).

The site meter's kind of useless IMO, I don't really care how many visitors you have. And it really sticks out, I think you should get a PHP script that outputs text (a number).

Why do you have a 470x126 gif of a solid color as a background image? I think it's useless, especially since you don't need it for faux columns or something.

Lol Affiliates is on Links.html, and links is on Affiliates.html. Changing the page names would be a good idea.

Text is a little small.

Only thing that I would call professional on that site is the graphics and even then just a few of them. The coding for the site isn't professional at all. Looks like they drew an image in Image Ready or Photoshop had photoshop slice it up and export the html. I bet they probably charged you an arm and a leg. How much did they charge you if you don't mind me asking? If you do thats cool not a big deal just curious.

Text is too small.

Indeed they did:

<!-- ImageReady Slices (sarah.psd) -->

The designer's website is the same way.

Ok so here is my question then: What needs to be to my site to make it look professional? Is there someone you know of that makes awesome professional layouts?
Thanks guys...I really appreciate all the replies.

Not for 30 dollars. The graphics part of the layout seem professional, its just the coding that isn't. Again text is too small and the top navigation can be done without images. There is this saying that "designers aren't coders and coders aren't designers". Its rare if you find someone who can do both efficiently and well.
