View Full Version : Changing Quicktime Video Source

I have been given hundreds of MPGs and Quicktime videos to put into several pages. I have a page defined and have a video playing for a single file. Changing images is easy, but I am lost with videos. Can I use Javascript to change the source for the video when someone performs an action on the screen?

The code I am currently using is:

<object id="MediaPlayer1" CLASSID="CLSID:22d6f312-b0f6-11d0-94ab-0080c74c7e95" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsm p2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701"
standby="Loading Microsoft Windows® Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" width="280" height="256">
<param name="fileName" value="shred_0705.mpg">
<param name="animationatStart" value="true">
<param name="transparentatStart" value="true">
<param name="autoStart" value="true">
<param name="showControls" value="true">
<param name="Volume" value="-450">
<embed type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" src="[/color:1f9803a837]shred_0705.mpg" name="MediaPlayer1" width=280 height=256 autostart=1 showcontrols=1 volume=-450>

Never mind, figured it out. Assigned the object a name, referenced the parameters, it was that easy.

Does it work in Firefox? I don't think it will.
