hey everyone,
i want to put 2 different sets of google analytics tracking code on one page, would that cause any problems at all?

I would do something like this:

<body>

....stuff....

<script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript">
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
_uacct = "UA-xxxxxx-x";
urchinTracker();
</script>

<script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript">
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
_uacct = "UA-yyyyyyy-y";
urchinTracker();
</script>

</body>
</head>

would there be any conflicts between the 2 js scripts, and more importantly, will google still be able to track this page on both accounts?

What is your reasoning behind this? If both accounts will get the same tracking info why not add multiple users to the same google analytics?

It has to do with how we have goals/funnels setup. We have to setup multiple profiles under the google account, each profile has its own user account number for the tag.....so some pages overlap to different campaigns that we run...thus we require multiple tags. Though im just not sure if having multiple tags like how i have above will work....

anyone know, care to confirm?

Doesn't hurt to try now does it? Only issue I see is the variables being overwritten because they are the same so only one set might work.
