That had been discussed in this thread:

$2,263,360.00 at the moment...

Also, check out the.com (http://leapfish.com/domain_name_appraisal.php?url=the.com) on it. It has an "Estimated Domain Name Value: $-1,710.00". Does that mean they would have to pay us to take it off them? lol!!

I wish I owned example.com

Lol, yeah, me too.

My domain name is worth $65. More than I expected...

example.com is worth $24,567,560.00!

example.com is worth exactly 0$ - it's not now and has never been a for-sale domain. It's one of three reserved second level domains, together with example.net and example.org. But I guess that site really doesn't care about practicalities like that...

As an aside, the value reported on any site depends on whether there is any input from archive.org, google, yahoo! and msn. If you reload that page a few times, you will see that those results sometimes go missing, and that changes the estimate a lot.
Not to mention the values are out of this world - the value of a domain depends on supply and demand, demand depends on legal, branding and profit potential, and I doubt profit potential for codingforums.com is more than a small fraction of that. That page only gives a value based on a theoretical supply and a very strange basis for demand - only based on the length and characters in the domain name.

I once was in a situation where it was cheaper to wrestle the domain from one of those "im going to buy millions of domains just to sell them for $20,000 each" (which is completely illegal by the way) via ICANN than to actually pay for it. I would have got thedomainnameiwasafter.com/org/net/etc too I believe. Taking it up with ICANN was just out of my budget though so I settled for the tainted version of the domain (pretty much just stuck in an extra word or - or whatever, kinda like movies usually have websites blahmovie.com or whatever, rather than blah.com I suppose)

I have 2 domain names that are exactly the same, 1 is .com and isn't officially used any more (but we still keep it up pointing to the .net, any urls we write etc will all be .net though) and the .net is active etc. That site says the .com is worth $360* but the .net is worth $17** :p

Top Level Domain Name Score: 8
Unwanted Characters Score: 8
Length Score: 1
Archive.org Score: 0
Google Search Results: 796 <-- many more hits, are google hits not worth much anymore?
Yahoo Search Results: 0
MSN Search Results: 7
Search Engine Score: 1

This is probably due to my use of robots files and a complete lack of any advertising so all those hits are pretty much where someone has reccomended my site to someone else on a forum :p

EDIT: Just tried my dad's domain (which consists of 4 web pages and 1 contact form, and the pages that aren't a contact form have been pretty much "under construction" for the last year, he just wanted something to put in the yellow pages) and its worth $20, $3 more than my actively used domain :( Here are the vitals:

my curiosity is that having entered the domains of three of britains biggest organisations, none of them shows even 1 yahoo result.

So it makes me think that (if that is true), I need register only with google.

Where the hell are you getting this information from?... I'm googling to find a site that has a list and/or will evaluate any sitename. Get back to me and tell me where to go (so to speak), before I find it. Person who gets me to the site first (including myself), gets a big, "thank you for your help" (and maybe a nice little bonus if I find out my site is worth a million or so.

Sellmy.com? do they all charge $ and is what you're doing kind of putting your site out there for bidding? Ok... I'll keep digging. Come on... someone tell me where to go (my wife hasn't told me yet today).
