hi everyone. I am new here to the site, and also relatively new to coding. I do however have alot of experiance as a forum moderator and as a ladder admin. I have about 30 books for coding websites in various languages, and i have coded several website templates in html.
i am looking for a few people who would like to partner up and develope a ladder site with forums, blog, game reviews, game previews, game codes, release dates, gfx section for sigs, tournaments, and offer website development for a price to our users.
I have a team of 2 people at the present time. my partner knows photoshop pretty well and has made a few templates, logos, banners, and sigs for our cause.
resources already aquired for this project
1. ladder scripts(i don't know php so i can figure them out lol)
2. 3 domains gaming-impulse.com, gamingimpulse.net, and gamingimpulse.org
3. hosting from godaddy
4. a few templates
5. phpbb forum script
what we want to accomplish
1. get alot of mods for the forums
2. get a good looking forum skin
3. create a nice template for our wordpress blog
4. set the ladders up
5. create a program that would allow us to keep a database on games we do reviews, previews, and codes for while allowing us to have a message board for each game. also it would sort every game into 3 categories first what console it is for, second what genre it is for, third alphabetically.
what would be really helpful
1. knowledge with php
2. if you can do cms
3. knowledge in html
4. knowledge in xhtml
5. knowledge in css
6. knowledge with wordpress
we have alot of ideas, some skill, some money, and a whole lot of hope. we do appreciate any kind of help even if it is just wishing us luck.
