This JavaScript Ticker is an example of "Data Binding" using "Tabular Data Control (TDC)" which is a Microsoft ActiveX control built in to Internet Explorer.

i use mozilla and it says that it only works in ie two times, wierd.

That's because there are two tickers in the page. One at the top and one at the bottom :)

I am using IE 6.0 on winds Xp and I get the alert about 5+ ......is that supposed to happen. I see nothing 'ticking'

You get the alert because the ticker has not loaded still. That can be rectified........
If you try using it offline, you may not get the alert (because it does not take much time to load then)

It worls only on my IE5.5 on 6 it only shows the first thing.
