MySQL books?

Anyonw able to recomend a MySQL book that teaches the querying/programming side from scratch? Not interesting in getting alot of Administration things, its for one of my subordinates that wants to read a book on SQL and querying?

This is a very good intermediate book:

SQL Hacks (Tips & Tools for Digging into Your Data), it is an O'Reilly book by Andrew Cumming & Gordon Russell.

also there is one from O'Reilly called SQL Cookbook, though I don't have the author at hand.
