Hi,

My new website: www.exigotranslations.com/indexa.htm which I designed in IE has some serious debugging to do in Firefox and Sahara. I am new to web design so have already been told to check in browsers as I go along.

There is also a form on the homepage to fix.

What is a fair price to pay per hour for this work and how much work is there/how long will it take?

Thanks,

Richard

A fair price would be 40 US dollars an hour at least thats what I charge. There is a good 2-3 hours of work to be done because an entire recode would need to be in order. Your current page has 235 coding errors. See them here (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.exigotranslations.com%2Findexa.htm).

Hi,

thanks for that, I did use the validator earlier but didn't understand why they said there was unended tags when they were.

Anyway, would you be interested stating your conditions (US$40per hour/ 2/3 hours work)? Would that also include the css in the form (the javascript works like on my old website:www.exigotranslations.com)?

Thanks,

Richard

Hi,

Ok, would anyone be interested in recoding the main part of the site so it displays well in firefox and sahara. Pay $40 per hour and you would have to quote how long it would take. There is also a form on the index page which would need attention.

Website: www.exigotranslations.com/indexa.htm

Thanks,

Richard

By “sahara” do you mean the Safari browser? I’ve never heard of sahara in a web context before.

I could do that job. However, as I’m on a Mac I can’t immediately test it in IE and although I know some of its quirks and how to work around I can’t foresee all of its arbitrary and unpredictable behavior.
I’d say with an entire recoding from scratch it will probably take like 3-4 hours because it also needs some thought on proper semantics and stuff. And of course the form would be styled as well.

Hi,

Sorry, I meant the browser:safari, for macs. There is also a couple more css files (page links) which need changing although they are more simple. If I send you the files, would you be able to say how long it would take/quote for the whole project at US$40 per hour.

Have you got a seperate email address?

Thanks,

Richard
