I have FF, IE, and Opera, and shockwave came installed in IE. I tried to install it for FF and Opera, but it says Windows can't find FF (or at least the specified path for it). The error messages I get are shown in the attachment (the top one comes first).

And I just noticed, it doesn't work in Netscape Browser 8.0 either, even though it does seem to install successfully.

Hmm are you using the installer found here?

No, but I tried it, and it did nothing. (And that's for Shockwave Flash, which seems to bee different from Shockwave Player.)

I've been trying to use the Shockwave Player Installer
(http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/)

The installation in Netscape fails (when I try to load a Shockwave movie and click install missing plugins), Windows can't find FF, and I guess Shockwave Player doesn't support Opera at all.

And I tried running FF at the path specified in the error messages (using actual folder names, not shortened ones with ~1 at the end), but it still couldn't find it with the -url "%1" added on.

I just tried it and got the same message. I think the shockwave installation is trying to open up a url in Firefox but doesn't pass the parameters correctly. I don't think its something you need to worry about. Have you tried going to a site that uses the shockwave plugin?

I went to their test page to see if it worked. Firefox prompted me to install the plugin. It tries to but says it failed or at least I thought it failed because Firefox said it did. I reloaded the test page and sure enough it worked. Not sure why Firefox says it failed though. Maybe a restart of the browser is order for it to work properly.

Yeah, I've been trying to load a Shockwave game.

And I tried the test page. It doesn't load, and FF doesn't even prompt me to install Shockwave.
