Submit button not working [was: MySQL queery doesn't work with Windows]

I am developing on a Mac and constantly check under Windows that everything looks as it should. For the first time, it's not a layout issue that I am encountering but a database one.

Whereas my DB queries work just fine under OS X with Safari and Firefox, I get a "Couldn't execute query" error in IE 6 in Windows (I didn't check with other browsers).

I am not sure where to look for the cause of this problem.

your queries will work fine under any platform. mysql works independent of platform. you thus have problems somewhere else in your code.

I think I found the culprit but I don't understand why it's not working. The forms that produce the error have an image as submit button:

<input type="image" src="images/go_round_white.gif" align="middle" value="go!" name="searchparties_simple">

When I replace it by a regular submit button like this, it works:

<input type="submit" align="middle" value="go!" name="searchparties_simple">
