Custom Photo Gallery - Please Review

Please review/critique this site for me. I made it from scratch and it is somewhat simple. My goal for the site was elegance in simplicity. The purpose of making this site was...
A) An exercise for me to learn web design (ie html, javascript, etc.)
B) Score some browny points with my boss (who owns the site)

I have tried it with IE7, FF2, and NetScape8 and it seems to work well. I am not too concerned with making availible to older browsers, but I am open to suggestions.

I plan on adding picture descriptions when they give me some. :)

You've started off well, you've started with a css based layout, which is a very good start.

I would recommend changing the font, I think that anything but Times New roman looks acceptable. The code looks nice and neat, and the layout is pretty simple. As you're starting off well;

It's always wise to fix validation errors. It's good practice. I picked one page at random to validate, but you should go through the site, validating the pages, and fixing them. It's definitely not bad!

Everything validates now. Galleries 3, 4 and 6 contain a scrolling option due to the large number of thumbnails, and I had forgotten to add 'alt' to the arrows. I had gone through the validation process already, but obviously not with every page. Thanks for the input.

What's wrong with Times New Roman?

As far as I'm aware, it's not a common choice amongst web developers anymore. I don't think it looks particularly nice, change the font to arial, see what it looks like. Sites generally take on a whole new look with a different choice in font.
