ok so wats a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life??? say E6400 at 3ghz?

or if u want to take extream overclocking a E6400 at 3.8ghz (this is for example)so pretty much overclocked to the max while still stable how long do u think they'll last before they jst die(years, months, days?)?

so jst generally 2 questions kinda

1. ok so wats a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life for a modirate overclock say a E6400 at 3ghz

2. and second a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life for a extreame overclock max until unstable say somewhere between 3.4ghz-3.8ghz(depending on ur cpu)

It depends on how well you cool it primarily. But there is no way to say for sure how long an overclocked processor will last. And E6400, that runs at what? 1.8GHz stock? so you are almost doubling it at 3GHz. I'd be surprised if you could it stable at 3.8 for protracted periods of time. Since increasing the clock speed of a processor, heat is not the only problem, there are other concerns with the internal workings of the processor when you increase the speed that much.

U can't predict a time for a CPU / components to when it starts dying when it comes to Oc'ing.
The main thing u need to take care of is cooling & not overvolt it. That's all there is in fact.

A normal cpu should last at least 10 years at normal use, but with Ocing yes this life-time becomes shorter.
