Hi Guys,

I am looking at purchasing a USB Memory Card reader to allow me to slot my Memory Card from my Nokia N70 straight into the USB MC reader and copy the files across.

One I have seen is:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170088439002&fromMakeTrack=true

Does anyone know if this, or any other USB MC Readers, are supported on FC5??

There are others on eBay, but would like to know if these will work the same as plugging in Pen Drive (or USB Key for the young members, no-one seems to call them Pen Drives anymore!!)

Any help appreciated.

Have a look around this site:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/index.php/cat/197

There are a lot of card readers listed, as well as peoples' experiences running them in all sorts of distros. Too hard to make out the brand on that card reader on eBay. Plus the auction has ended.

I have a 52 in 1 internal card reader (that connects to an internal usb header) which works perfectly in windows xp, vista and fedora core 6. As far as I know there should be no problems with anything like these in a major distro.

I did have problems with ubuntu dapper getting confused about which drive was sda etc though and trying to "mount root filesystem" as an empty cf/md/ms/sm/sd/mmc card slot though, but I think this has been resolved in edgy and feisty.

The auction ended with him buying it by the way I think :p
P.S. man crmpicco, you buy so much stuff on ebay!
