Anchors With URL Variables

Hi

I have a site that uses anchors on a page to scroll down half way to the page but when i add a Url variable like this index.php?myvar=1 and then the anchor the anchor doesnt work. Doesnt anyone know how to use URL variables with anchors?

that doesnt seem to work the value loads properly but the anchor still doesnt go down.
