hiding file from view or access

Hi,

I am storing documents in a folder to be accessed by a mySql query.

How can I structure this so that the documents within the folder cannot be read by direct url or by mirrors but will still be accessed by query?

I'm not quite sure how you're going to interact directly with the filesystem using MySQL, but if you don't want people to be able to access your files just put them in a folder above your web root(usually public_html). Then you can use PHP or whatever to access them.
