where is mysql db?

Hey guys, I have Perl Apache 5.8 on my computer, but I could not find MySQL database to look at the tables. But the source code that I got is up and running fine Mysql database. WHere could it be? Please advice.

Windows? Linux? in the latter, try 'which mysql'. In the former ask the cartoon dog to look for files called mysql. Assuming you're missing the binary for the mysql shell. Otherwise plz2b clarifying.
