Hey , im building this website , on which in a part of it, i currentlly use a Mysql Db to store the profiles, but 1 user, can create serveral profiles ( dont ask .. ) , i was wondering if for a mass population accessing it , lets say about 80 Thousand users, if it would be better to use Text Files (some kbs each) , or keep using the mysql DB?
Thank you !

i would think with mysql you would have much more creative freedom, i never used txt files for that kind of thing. but i would assume they would be somewhat unreliable, otherwise your not limited to the number of databases you can use to store users (except by your hosting service) otherwise id create a script that would change to a new db when one fills up, say like to 10k or somthing. otherwise mysql has been and always will be a reliable source for mass storage, until somthing new comes out.
