ssl certificate help

i installed an ssl certificate but the lock symbol is not coming up and it says displays unauthenticated content -- what could be causing this?

Are you using HTTPS in the URL?

How did you install the certificate?
Where did you get it from?
Are you using the correct domain issued to the certificate?

yes and i bought it from godaddy and they said the certificate is fine...
but the lock symbol is not showing

Is your site hosted with godaddy?
Do you run the server or is it hosted? If it is hosted then ask the host.
Otherwise, how did you install it?
