These are shortcuts you can put on your Firefox or IE shortcut bar. What you can then do is highlight any word on the page you are currently browsing and then click the link, to be taken straight to the corresponding Wikipedia article (ive got a slightly different one that sercehes google, and one that looks up word definitions through google) its fantastically usefull!

javascript:q = "" + (window.getSelection ? window.getSelection() :
document.getSelection ? document.getSelection() :
document.selection.createRange().text);
if (!q) q = prompt("You didn't select any text. Enter a search phrase:", "");
if (q!=null) location="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/" + escape(q).replace(/ /g, "+"); void 0

I just slightly modified the Wikr script by adding the appropriate url. What would be even better though, is if anyone could work out how to get the script to open a new page or tab, rather than the same one as it does now, ive tried but my java skills are far too poor to manage it! Cheers! Orgone
