When you go to http://www.snap.com and then type a word and click the search icon, it immediately brings a new website with some kind of tour. What kind of code behind this tour website? Is this done with AJAX or Javascript?

That's AJAX...but AJAX is Javascript (Asynchronous Javascript And XML)...

While that looks cool, I'm not sure if that is the best practices implementation of AJAX...AJAX is supposed to be used to reload parts of the screen, not the entire screen (I thought...)...If you're going to reload the entire screen, then I guess why use AJAX?

Yes I see what you are saying chump2877. May be thats not the best way. I found Adobe Captivate which can do the same job.

I think AJAX is for other things like the google suggest, maps etc.

Thanks again.

Adobe Captivate (http://www.adobe.com/products/captivate/?sdid=REIW) looks nice...are you using it to create a search engine though?
