I'm trying to install a script with my new subdomain host. Everything was working fine until I CHMODed the folder containing my script, to 777. When I tried to view the index.php file, or any other file inside the chmoded folder, I was kicked back the the main index page of the site. The same thing is happeneing with a different folder that I CHMODed.
What's the deal? I need to have to folders CHMODed in order for the scripts to run properly. Is there something up with my host? The scripts worked find with my previous host, and there was no problem with any sort of CHMODing then.
EDIT:
After some more screwing around, I've found that if the file is saved with an .html extension, it seems to show up. Why is that? On my other host it didn't matter what the file was saved as.
