Application Process (Checklist)

Hi,

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section but I was wondering if this could be done in HTML. I have an application sequence which consists of 4 pages, eg. step1.html step2.html step3.html step4.html. In step1.html I have a form, a next button and a checklist of options made up of checkboxes describing what the user needs in the future steps, I was wondering if it would be possible so that when the user clicks next it checks to see if all checkboxes are checked and goes on to step2.html, if they aren't all checked then a dialog box appears saying they need to be?

Not with just HTML. HTML is a markup language, nothing more. To validate a form you need to use Javascript or a server-side language like PHP.

Look up form validation (http://www.google.com/search?q=form+validation&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a) in Google for a bunch of tips; most of them revolve around JS form validation but I would recommend a server-side solution.
