Free hosted message boards

can you help me find some message boards that are hosted by the service provider?

bannerless - if possible
fully customizable

www.bravenet.com
www.conforums.com

hosted at their own servers.. but not ad-free

I researched this about 6 months ago. I found most to be lame, misconfigured, or just plain didn't work. The very best I found was Best Boards free with banner ad or U$2.50 a month without. :D

I was thinking of making a hosted version of my QUICKboard app which I spent all night making.

QUICKboard is not really customizeable and only has the bare essentials.

I'm almost finished making my first prototype you could just host one on brinkster as it isn't big.

I know all that isn't much really but that is why I made QUICKboard, some people don't want huge forums just the basics.

If you can't get one hosted you could consider that.

Does ezboard.com still do forums? I used them for a while and didn't have too many complaints...

they can be got from www.proboards.com or www.hyperboards.com (same company)

they are free (but with ads) but for 6.99 dollars u can ditch the ads each month.
