View Full Version : Table Displaying Outside Containing Div (IE)

So I'm throwing together a quick and dirty admin page for a project I am working on and am finishing it up, but my date picker/calendar is not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer (6 or 7). Basically the calendar is a div containing two tables. The first table which is used for picking the month and year is fine, but the table with the actual calendar is not being contained in the div and is displaying at the bottom of the page. I assume this is a float problem, but I'm not sure what the solution is. It's probably a simple fix, so I am hoping someone here will know what can be done.

Link to page in question. . . (http://www.evie.com/cgi-bin/test/topress.cgi)

If anyone body can help me out I'd be most appreciative. :)

Im not quite sure if this will help, but IE has a thing with padding and margins that FF doesn't. So IE adds the padding/margins on to your width so maybe if you have padding/margins in the div of the day_picker the total width is more than the actual width of the main div.. if you follow me.
i usually fix this problem using html > body divID{ } for firefox to read and use the normal divs layout for IE.
Hopefully that mite help you

I don't think it is padding or margins. The calendar works as a standalone element (on it's own page). It is only once I put it on the admin page it goes wacky even though it has plenty of room around it.
