We all get gyst of what web 2.0 is, indeed its difficult to pin down. But are there any easy social applications you can add to your website? Does anyone have any examples on there webpage of content that has only been possible over the last 24 months?

There is little if anything possible now that was not possible from V5 browsers onwards, web2.0 is nothing more than a philosophy for the future of the web and web/desktop integration.

Taking a second to search for answers to questions one has might bring some answers in rare cases... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0

Well as stated already everything you see that is classed as WEB 2.0 standars has been around for years.
If you are after examples of scripts then the following would be something to look at.
DIV WINDOWS, these are basically a DIV tag that is placed on the screen with another DIV tag set to a semi transparent colour, this then makes it look like an alert window of sorts. I use these in all my administration scripts when removing items from the database needs to be confirmed. (an example of this can be found at my website Paramiliar Design Studios (http://www.paramiliar.com) simply click on the Web 2.0 Compliance button on the bottom left of the page.)
AJAX, this once again has been around for a long time and would take me ages to explain on here what AJAX is, I will post an article later about this for you on my site.
Graphics, There is a set style for the graphics which you use, again i'll post an article about this on my site with examples for you.
